Liepaja State Technical School (LSTS)

Liepaja State Technical school” historically is established in 1920. In 2020 the school celebrated its 100th anniversary.  

Today it is a vocational training center which in 2011 united three vocational schools in Liepaja. In 2011 the school also gained the status of “Professional Education Competence center”. LSTS is the second biggest vocational education institution in Latvia. LSTS trains qualified specialists in hospitality, construction, commerce, woodworking, textile, mechatronics, energy, metalworking, information technology, and transport and logistics sectors for the economic needs of the region Kurzeme in Latvia. It also provides professional education from 1st till 3rd qualification level, continuing education, professional development programs, lifelong learning and offers evaluation of professional competences in 37 qualifications.

LSTS has been participating in mobility, cooperation and development projects for teachers, staff and students within Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, Erasmus+ programs for more than 10 years. During the years more than 300 students have been abroad in different mobilities.
