The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (Wirtschaftskammer Österreich or WKÖ) coordinates and represents the interests of the Austrian business community on a national and international level. Within the Austrian Economic Chamber’s system, it functions as the national umbrella organization for the nine regional State Chambers (one in each of Austria’s federal States) and 110 trade associations from different industry sectors. 

Das Wirtschaftsförderungsinstitut – The Institute for Vocational Training (WIFI) is an Austrian organization for professional adult education and is an arm of the Economic Chamber of Styria (WKO). About 350.000 participants attend more than 30.000 courses every year. 

The R&D department Room 466 of the Wirtschaftskammer Steiermark has lots of experience in international projects, mainly in Erasmus+. Especially in the fields of sustainability & green innovation as well as in the development of innovative educational offers (digital media, VR, AR) and also career orientation and talent management, projects were carried out at the WKO Steiermark.
